NOTE: If you are unsure of the publisher or do not believe the workbook should contain active content then you should contact the workbook's author before enabling active content.
Creating a Trusted location (Excel 2007 Only).
» To avoid having to enable active content every time a workbook is opened you can add the workbooks path to be a trusted location to Excel. By creating a trusted location Excel will automatically enable active content for any workbooks that are saved in that location.

Step One:

Open Excel 2007 and click the Office Button and select Excel Options.

In the Excel Options Dialog, Select the Trust Center from the menu on the left.

Click on the "Trust Center Settings" Button.

In the Trust Center Dialog, Select "Trusted Locations" from the menu on the left.

Click on "Add new Location". In the Microsoft Office Trusted Location Dialog click "Browse" and navigate to the path where the workbook is saved. (i.e. "C:\Program Files\Merge Workbooks Professional\") and click ok.

Click on ok to close the trust center dialog. Then click ok to close the Excel Options dialog.
