Macro Security Settings
»
If the hyperlinks are not working in Workbook TOC it could be due to your Macro Secuirty Settings. The TOC worksheet has some embedded software that will allow you quickly go to a worksheet by click on the worksheet name.
There are two reasons why your macros are disabled.
When you opened the workbook containing the TOC you might have gotten the message"Macros in this workbook are disabled.....". If so you will need to lower your security settings
|
Reason One:
»
You clicked "Disable Macros" when this workbook was opened. To resolve this issue close the workbook and reopen it again. This time click "Enable Macros" when prompted. (See Figure 1)
|
(Figure 1)
|
Reason Two:
»
If you didn't get prompted to Enable/Disable Macros when you opened the workbook then your macro security settings are too high to run a macro. In order to run the macro you must set the Excel macro security to medium. To do this follow the steps listed below:
|
Step One
»
In the Excel menu bar click Tools-->Macro-->Security.
|
(Figure 2)
|
Step Two
»
The dialog shown in Figure 3 below should be displayed. On the "Security Level" Tab, change the security settings to "Medium" and click ok. (See Figure 3) With the security settings set to Medium Excel will prompt you to Enable/Disable macros for any workbook that contains a macro.

Step Three

Close the Macro workbook and reopen it. When prompted to Enable/Disable macros click "Enable Macros". (See Figure 4)
