NOTE: If you are unsure of the publisher or do not believe the the workbook should contain active content then you should contact the workbook's author before enabling active content.


Macro Security Settings

» By default Excel 2007 will disable any workbooks that have unsigned active content (i.e Workbooks containing macros). If a workbook is opened that contains active content then a security warning will be displayed. In order to use the Excel tool active content will need to be enabled. To do this follow the steps listed below.

» Click here if you are using Excel 2000-2003
» Click here if the security warning is not displayed
» Click here to avoid having to enable content everytime the workbook is opened.

Step One:

»  Click the "Options" button in the Security Warning ribbon.

»  The Security Options Dialog will be displayed (figure 3) Select "Enable this Content" and click Ok.
